NACCT 2026: See What’s New from toxiCALL® + toxiWEB®

Computer Automation Systems, Inc. is pleased to be at NACCT 2026, where we are sharing the latest developments across toxiCALL® and toxiWEB® at our booth and during the toxiCALL® User Group Meeting.

This year’s message is centered around three ideas:

Flexible Technology. Practical Solutions. Continued Innovation.

What We’re Sharing at NACCT

The toxiCALL® platform continues to evolve with new capabilities designed to give poison centers more flexibility in how they manage cases, access information, analyze data, and adapt to changing requirements.

Among the areas we are highlighting at NACCT:

  • NPDS 2027 Clinical Effect updates (MedDRA alignment) and simplified system-table management
  • Flexible case-management workflows in toxiCALL® 5
  • toxiWEB® browser-based case entry and case management
  • Expanded access for remote specialists, toxicology consultations, clinicians making rounds, and managers working away from the center
  • Browser access from Macs, tablets, and other supported devices without requiring toxiCALL® 5 to be installed on every device
  • Reporting, dashboards, and multi-center research
  • Expanded substance research
  • Complex case and multiple-patient incident management
  • Follow-up management and improved validation guidance
  • Flexible configuration and personalized readability
  • AI-assisted case entry, summaries, and data analysis
  • Flexible deployment options
  • Predictable pricing without per-user licensing

See the Solutions

We have created a new video highlighting many of the solutions and capabilities being demonstrated at NACCT.

toxiCALL® and toxiWEB® are designed to complement one another.

toxiCALL® 5 provides the depth and capabilities of the Windows environment, while toxiWEB® extends access through the browser. Together, they give poison centers more flexibility in how and where specialists, clinicians, toxicologists, managers, and other authorized staff access the tools and information they need.

We are also continuing to refine toxiWEB® case-entry workflows and welcome feedback from poison centers about how browser-based case management can best support their specialists and workflows.

Join the Conversation

If you are attending NACCT 2026, we invite you to visit us at the Computer Automation Systems, Inc. booth and join us for the toxiCALL® User Group Meeting.

The user group meeting provides an opportunity to see what is new, discuss current development, review upcoming capabilities, and talk directly about the needs and priorities of your poison center.

If conference schedules do not provide enough time, or if you are not attending NACCT, you can also schedule a separate conversation with us.

Tell us how your center works, what challenges you are trying to solve, and what you would like to see next.

Presentation Materials

The 2026 toxiCALL® User Group presentation materials are complete and will be made available following the meeting so attendees and those unable to participate can review the same information.

MedDRA Alignment, toxiCALL® 5 Updates, and More!

Poison centers are preparing for the NPDS 2027 Clinical Effect alignment, and many of you are also asking where toxiCALL® 5 stands today and how it compares with toxiCALL® 4.

We are focused on both needs: helping you prepare for the upcoming NPDS changes and continuing the development of toxiCALL® 5.

NPDS 2027 Clinical Effect Alignment

We are preparing the NPDS 2027 Clinical Effect alignment for both toxiCALL® 4 and toxiCALL® 5. Our focus is on making sure centers using either platform have the updates and information needed to prepare for this change.

The Clinical Effect alignment involves more than simply replacing codes. It includes new and revised terminology, retired Clinical Effects, an updated organization, and information that must remain understandable when you review both new and historical cases.

For toxiCALL® 4, we are incorporating the updated Clinical Effect data into the existing platform’s capabilities.

toxiCALL® 5 gives us additional opportunities to make these changes easier for specialists to understand and use. This includes expanded descriptions, historical information, synonyms, improved organization, and enhanced search capabilities.

Our goal is to support your center through this transition while providing specialists with the information they need to understand the updated Clinical Effects during case entry and review.

Where Is toxiCALL® 5 Today?

Development of toxiCALL® 5 continues with an emphasis on the workflows you use every day and the feedback we receive from centers evaluating the platform.

Current capabilities and recent development include:

  • Updated case entry and case review workflows
  • Redesigned Case Notes and review tools
  • Local and network case operation
  • Local Mode when access to the network database is unavailable
  • Background case upload capabilities
  • Expanded dashboards and case management tools
  • Improved lookup and search capabilities
  • Additional descriptions and synonyms for coded information
  • Flexible center and specialist configuration options
  • Continued refinements based on poison center feedback

toxiCALL® 5 is designed to preserve the flexibility you have relied on in toxiCALL® while providing a modern foundation for continued development.

Adding Flexibility with toxiWEB®

toxiCALL® 5 is also designed to work alongside toxiWEB®, giving poison centers additional flexibility in how they access and use information.

toxiWEB® extends the platform with browser-based capabilities that can complement the Windows-based toxiCALL® 5 environment. This gives centers more options for case management, reporting, dashboards, case review, clinical rounds, and other workflows that benefit from web access.

Rather than forcing centers into a single way of working, our goal is to provide complementary technologies that can be used where they make the most sense.

For poison centers, that means the ability to combine the depth and operational capabilities of toxiCALL® 5 with the accessibility and flexibility of toxiWEB®.

How Does toxiCALL® 5 Compare?

If your center wants a clearer picture of what has changed, we have updated the toxiCALL® Features Comparison.

The comparison provides a side-by-side look at toxiCALL® 4 and toxiCALL® 5 across areas such as case management, Local Mode, review tools, reporting, administration, deployment, and other capabilities.
